Jack visited fresh off the success of his latest book, A Parliament of Owls, is about the notorious Bohemian Grove, in America. He won the British Journal of Photography 2019, International Photography Award.
I was fortunate to see him twice in two days. On the Wednesday, he took part in a question and answer session at The Brunswick Pub, Leeds. The event was very well attended, unfortunately I was at the back of the room and found it difficult to hear the proceedings.
On the Thursday Jack came to the university and gave a talk about Bohemian Grove; a gentlemen’s club, where membership is by invitation only and the adherents are men only. He told us of his journey and how he photographed the images. The owls were real from a sanctuary, the subject remains mysterious…
